Data Retention and Disposal Policy
Share
This Data Retention and Disposal Policy describes how long Worklittle keeps different categories of data and how data is deleted when it is no longer needed.
Purpose
Worklittle retains data only as long as necessary to provide services, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Retention schedules
Chat attachments
Chat images and files are stored in object storage with related metadata.
Each account has a storage quota for chat attachments.
Attachments expire after 90 days and are purged on a schedule.
When an account exceeds quota, oldest attachments are deleted first.
Organization data
When organization data is deleted by a user, it enters a soft-deleted state.
Soft-deleted platform data remains recoverable for 24 hours before permanent purge.
After the grace period, associated records and stored files are permanently removed.
Account and service data
Account profile and service data are retained while the account remains active.
Users may request deletion of personal data subject to legal and operational retention requirements.
Some records may be retained longer when required for security, fraud prevention, billing, or legal compliance.
Marketing and communications
Email subscription and job alert preferences are retained while the subscription remains active or until the user unsubscribes.
Operational email and analytics logs are retained for limited periods needed for delivery, abuse prevention, and reporting.
Disposal methods
When retention periods expire or data is deleted on request, Worklittle removes associated database records and deletes stored files from object storage. Disposal is performed through automated purge jobs and controlled deletion workflows.
Legal holds
Worklittle may preserve data beyond standard retention periods when required by law, litigation, or regulatory inquiry.
