You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of\n\nhuman-computer interaction, enabling users to create meaningful AI-first products such as\n\ndigital companions, employees and agents, emphasizing authentic human connections and\n\ninteractions.\n\nYou will collaborate with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment, contributing to all\n\nstages of the design process, from concept to implementation, to bring novel interactive\n\nexperiences to life.\n\nJoin our small, creative team of designers, engineers, and product enthusiasts dedicated to\n\nthoughtfully bridging the human-machine divide. We’re doing it right, sweating the details,\n\nand we’re in it together.\n\nThis role is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.\n\nWhat You'll Do\n\nArchitect a scalable motion language: Define the visual physics and kinetic identity of our\n\n\"human layer\" across any surface - web, mobile, or desktop - ensuring the experience feels\n\nunified, whether the user is at a workstation or on the go.\n\nChoreograph ambient presence: Solve the interaction design challenges of a persistent AI\n\ncompanion. You will define how the interface seamlessly transitions between active focus,\n\npassive monitoring, and backgrounded states without disrupting the user’s flow.\n\nSystematize the interaction layer: Translate complex OS-level concepts like navigation, app\n\nlaunching, and window management into intuitive, native-feeling UI patterns that work as\n\nwell on a touchscreen as they do with a mouse and keyboard.\n\nDesign the stage for human computing & connection: Create and evolve the structural UI\n\nframework that houses the conversational interface. Think flexible containers, sidebars, and\n\noverlays that support the video experience, ensuring the UI enhances and supports genuine\n\nhuman computing connection.\n\nCraft novel, satisfying, micro-interactions: Own the fidelity of the functional UI. You will\n\nensure that every toggle, menu, and transition feels responsive and premium, grounding a\n\nfuturistic AI experience in familiar, satisfying interaction patterns.\n\nWho You Are\n\n4+ years of Product Design experience with a specialized portfolio in Visual Systems and\n\nMotion Design. You have a track record of shipping complex, interactive interfaces, not just\n\nstatic pages.\n\nA cross-platform Systems Thinker: You understand how to translate a design language\n\nacross different modalities. You can take a core interaction concept and adapt it natively for\n\ndifferent device constraints.\n\nMaster of spatial UI: You are comfortable designing interfaces that rely on layering, floating\n\nelements, and dynamic states. You understand how to manage UI density and hierarchy in\n\nalways-on applications.\n\nNuanced with status & feedback: You know how to design non-intrusive visual cues that\n\nkeep the user informed of system status without overwhelming their cognitive load.\n\nTechnical & adaptive: You are comfortable collaborating with engineering to implement\n\nmotion standards in diverse environments, from modern web frameworks to native mobile\n\ncodebases.\n\nThrives in ambiguity: You don't need a fully detailed spec to get started.
