This position requires strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to influence across a heavily matrixed organization.\n\nYou will work closely with Product Management and Engineering leaders, guiding teams through Agile methodologies, driving decisions that enhance product quality, and leveraging AI-driven tools to improve efficiency and decision-making. This is a highly visible role that involves reporting to c-suite stakeholders and collaborating across multiple functions to ensure successful delivery of programs critical to the organization.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nStrategic Program Leadership\n\nLead complex, strategic projects impacting multiple product lines and business units.\n\nDrive alignment across stakeholders and ensure timely delivery of high-priority initiatives.\n\nAgile Leadership\n\nChampion Agile methodologies for assigned product lines, ensuring best practices and continuous improvement.\n\nFacilitate Agile ceremonies and coach teams on Agile principles.\n\nProgram Lifecycle Management\n\nManage all key milestones of product creation: inception, program approval, planning, development, organizational readiness, Beta/LCA, and release launch.\n\nTrack and manage milestones, risks, and mitigations, providing weekly dashboards on program health.\n\nAd Hoc Team Leadership\n\nProvide guidance to ad hoc teams, helping them make informed decisions that enhance product quality and customer experience.\n\nAct as a decision-making facilitator when teams face complex challenges.\n\nCross-Functional Collaboration\n\nWork closely with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Support, Documentation, Legal, Business Operations, and Partnerships teams.\n\nServe as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing insights and recommendations for program success.\n\nProactive AI Utilization\n\nLeverage AI-driven tools and analytics to improve program efficiency, automate reporting, and enhance decision-making.\n\nIdentify opportunities to integrate AI into workflows for risk prediction, resource optimization, and faster delivery cycles.\n\nStakeholder Communication & Reporting\n\nCommunicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including c-suite stakeholders.\n\nDeliver clear, concise, and actionable updates on program status, risks, and decisions.\n\nContinuous Improvement & Risk Management\n\nIdentify process gaps and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and program outcomes.\n\nProactively manage risks, dependencies, and resource constraints.\n\nQualifications\n\n7+ years of experience shipping production software.\n\n7+ years of Program Management or related work experience.\n\nExperience with Agile software development methodologies, with flexibility to adapt to organizational needs.\n\nStrong communicator and listener with both technical and non-technical colleagues.\n\nExperience in security and software security (application security) is a plus.\n\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent real-world experience.\n\nPreferred Skills\n\nProven ability to influence and negotiate in a heavily matrixed environment without direct reporting authority.\n\nExperience in managing global teams and complex, multi-site programs.\n\nFamiliarity with AI tools and data-driven decision-making.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.\n\nPay Range\n$98,600—$125,000 CAD\n\nBlack Duck considers all applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender preference, national origin, age, disability, or status as a Covered Veteran in accordance with federal law.
