Our strength is in our diversity of opinions.\n\nThe Senior Construction Project Manager is responsible for managing the construction process from permitting through construction completion. \n\nThis is a fully on-site position, Monday through Friday, at our corporate HQ in Tempe, Arizona.\n\nWhat you’ll be doing \n\nLead the construction process including: tracking permits, bid and contractor selection (including GC contract negotiations), manage vendors and internal procurement team. \n\nReview and update progress and cost reports, schedules, and requirements for completion on a regular basis.\n\nWork with internal Design and Engineering teams to finalize design. Identifying construction related issues prior to submission to AHJ.  \n\nDirect the activities of vendors/consultants as required for implementations.\n\nCommunicate with internal corporate leadership regarding schedules, construction methods, company policies and procedures, permits, safety, sustainability, quality control, and other performance standards.\n\nParticipate in negotiating  contracts with external vendors to reach a mutual agreement\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nWhat you should have/know\n\nTo be able to do your job at Carvana, there are some basic requirements we want to share with you.\n\n7+ years of experience in project management, real estate construction, or relative field.\n\nMulti Site Regional / National Experience preferred\n\nBachelor's degree or equivalent of professional experience.\n\nIn-depth understanding of construction procedures and project management principles.\n\nDemonstrated experience with managing multiple, large, simultaneous construction projects.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.\n\nExceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.\n\nMust be proactive, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.\n\nSuperior interpersonal skills, ability to interface with a variety of personalities with professionalism.\n\nAbility to leverage strong business acumen and understanding of Carvana business to prioritize and execute in accordance with what is both feasible and beneficial for the company.\n\nMust thrive in a fast-paced environment, with an entrepreneurial approach to project management and a commitment to team support.\n\nAble to help create, develop, and implement process improvement(s).\n\nMust promote the company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients, and business partners.\n\nSpeaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.\n\nMust be proficient in MS Office and Adobe.\n\nMust be willing to travel as necessary (up to 50% of the time).\n\nIt would be great if you also have\n\nDemonstrated experience successfully managing and leading a team.\n\nDon't Meet 100% of the Qualifications?\nAt Carvana, we value diverse backgrounds and experiences.
