To date, we were named a Deloitte Fast 50 business, G2 Category Leader, an Inc. & AJC best place to work, and an Inc. 5000 company five years in a row. \n\nAt Florence, we are committed to make the world a better place by accelerating research while providing an environment for our employees where they can be happy in their lives, enjoy their jobs, and grow. \n\nWhat You'll Bring to The Team:\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Release Manager to orchestrate and streamline our software delivery process, ensuring reliable, efficient, and coordinated releases across multiple environments and teams while maintaining the highest quality standards.\n\nYou Will:\n\nPlan, coordinate, and execute end-to-end release cycles across multiple applications and environments\n\nDesign, create, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for deployment, rollback, incident response, and change management processes\n\nManage release schedules, dependencies, and communicate timelines to stakeholders\n\nOrchestrate deployments across development, staging, and production environments in AWS\n\nCoordinate with development, QA, DevOps and product teams to ensure seamless releases\n\nResolve release conflicts, dependencies, and blocking issues\n\nCreate and maintain release documentation and deployment procedures\n\nImplement and manage branching strategies and code promotion workflows using GitHub Actions\n\nMonitor release metrics using New Relic, track deployment success rates, and identify improvement opportunities\n\nConduct post-release reviews and retrospectives to continuously improve processes\n\nExecute rollback procedures and incident response during failed deployments\n\nAutomate release processes and integrate with GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines\n\nMaintain release calendars and communicate changes to all stakeholders\n\nEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements and change management processes\n\nTrain team members on release management practices and standardized procedures\n\nRegularly review and update processes to reflect improvements and lessons learned\n\n \n\nAn Ideal Candidate has:\n\n7-9 years of release management experience in enterprise software environments\n\nProven experience creating and maintaining SOPs for release management and deployment processes\n\nExpert-level Git and GitHub Actions expertise (workflows, branching strategies, merging, conflict resolution)\n\nAdvanced AWS experience\n\nGitHub Actions CI/CD pipeline mastery (workflow design, secrets management, matrix builds, custom actions)\n\nInfrastructure as Code proficiency\n\nContainer deployment expertise\n\nEnvironment management skills - ability to spin up/tear down AWS environments on-demand\n\nFeature flag management and gradual rollout strategies\n\nAPI versioning and backward compatibility management\n\nStrong project management skills with experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies\n\nDatabase deployment and migration experience \n\nScripting and automation skills\n\nAWS configuration management\n\nStrong technical writing skills for creating clear, comprehensive documentation\n\nProcess improvement and standardization experience\n\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilities\n\nRisk assessment and mitigation expertise\n\nExperience with compliance frameworks and audit preparation\n\nWhat’s in it for you?\n\nDo well.
