Under CEO and Co-Founder Jennifer Hyman’s leadership, RTR has been named to CNBC’s “Disruptor 50” five times in ten years, and has been placed on Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies list multiple times, while Hyman herself has been named to the “TIME 100” most influential people in the world and as one of People magazine’s “Women Changing the World.”\n\nAbout the Job:\n\nRent the Runway is seeking a Senior Manager of Operations to lead all Outbound and ICQA functions (Picking, Assembly, Shipping, and ICQA) within the Arlington Distribution Center. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure safety, quality, throughput, and turnaround targets are consistently met. The Senior Manager will champion continuous improvement initiatives that support both near-term operational goals and long-term company growth as Rent the Runway scales its customer base. This leader will effectively manage and develop direct reports, ensuring each department is appropriately staffed and equipped with the tools, metrics, and processes needed to achieve performance objectives.\n\n \n\nWhat You’ll Do:\n\nOversee day-to-day operations across Outbound and ICQA departments.\n\nDirectly manage, coach, and develop Operations Managers.\n\nOwn departmental financial planning and budget management to maximize efficiency and ROI.\n\nDrive quality, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives across operations.\n\nProvide technical, analytical, and statistical expertise to support data-driven decisions.\n\nDevelop, document, and implement standard operating procedures to enable scalable performance.\n\nDefine, track, and evaluate performance metrics and operational KPIs.\n\nLead and participate in internal continuous improvement and audit programs.\n\nPartner on warehouse design, layout optimization, and new business initiatives.\n\nDevelop, execute, and report on short-term and long-term operational plans aligned to company growth.\n\nAbout You:\n\nB.S. degree in business administration, manufacturing, supply chain; MBA preferred.\n\nMinimum 5+ years experience in a supply chain, operations, warehousing, or project management role.\n\n5 + years supervisory/management experience\n\nYou have experience leading/collaborating with operations, finance, accounting, and buying and/or procurement teams in the pursuit of delivering KPIs.\n\nYou have experience with building, owning, and delivering on operating metrics.\n\nYou have a strong analytical background and the ability to apply that to readily available data.
