The team records business transactions accurately and on time in the balance sheet and income statement, and partners with cross-functional and international teams in a fast-paced environment.\n\n**What you'll do**\n\nYou'll join the Product Accounting team to support payment processing cost accounting. You'll use your technical expertise in US GAAP, including ASC 606, to identify accounting implications, advise cross-functional partners, and develop operating processes that help Stripe scale.\n\n**Responsibilities**\n\n- Build scalable accounting processes to support global growth in payment processing cost accounting\n- Partner with product, go-to-market, and Finance teams to understand new products, features, and contracts\n- Partner with systems and engineering teams to improve financial systems and automate accounting processes\n- Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and design processes and controls for emerging business activities\n- Develop and maintain current accounting procedure documentation\n- Plan and perform monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, balance-sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, financial reporting deliverables, and reviews\n- Produce management analyses and reporting, and support external audit processes\n\n**Who you are**\n\nWe're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role.
